Donegal earthquake

An earthquake rocked Donegal to its foundations last night causing panic and mayhem on the streets. The quake measuring 1.64 on the richter scale and with an epicentre 200 yards down main street in the post office caused several euro's damage and knocked missus O'reillys tea towel from the oven door.

She had this to say to RTE news : 'Jesus Mary and Joseph I didn't know what was going on so i didn't , the cat jumped up ,the dog jumped up but i stayed sitting down love you know what i mean Jesus i thought i was a gonner'

.Across the street meanwhile the farm animals where startled

Met Eireann have warned about the possibility's of aftershocks and have warned people to stay in doors and not make any journeys unless they absolutely have too.Reports of any injury's are unclear at present but paddy Smith's rose bush  is thought to have fell over.

Enda Kenny was unavailable for comment today but his office told us that he would make a statement when he gets back from Amsterdam with the lads.......
